Drupal Certified Partner

The platform we’ve built on longest — and help build.

Drupal runs the platforms people depend on most — state governments, health systems, universities and museums. We build on it, we contribute back and we help lead the work bringing AI into it.

Bronze-level Drupal Certified Partner, and active in the Drupal AI Initiative

Drupal is the open-source CMS built for organizations that publish under real constraints: editorial workflow, granular permissions, multilingual delivery and accessibility are core to the platform rather than add-ons. It is also one of the most AI-forward platforms in open source — hundreds of community-built AI integrations across the major model providers, pulled into one funded product direction by the Drupal AI Initiative, which Pare has joined. A global community maintains it in the open, on a published release cadence, and a mature contributed ecosystem covers what core does not. When a platform is audited for accessibility, publishes in several languages and has to be running ten years from now, Drupal is the right answer.

How the Partnership Works

Drupal provides

An open-source CMS with the governance, workflow, multilingual and accessibility depth that regulated and public-sector work demands. A mature contributed ecosystem. And a community that maintains it in the open, on a published release cadence, with no vendor able to withdraw it.

Pare & Co provides

Certification through the Drupal Association, and the implementation depth behind it: federation-scale healthcare, state government content operations, academic medicine and cultural institutions. Contribution back to the project. Architectural judgment about when Drupal is the right answer. And leadership in the Drupal AI Initiative, the effort bringing AI capability into the platform itself.

Together

Drupal platforms built to stay governable for a decade. Drupal brings the editorial and compliance depth; we bring the content modeling and integration engineering that keep it working at scale. And through the AI Initiative, what we build for clients goes back into the project itself.

Partnership in practice

We have built on Drupal for most of the firm’s history. The work spans state government, healthcare, universities and cultural institutions: the State of Rhode Island runs 100 agencies on one Drupal platform we built, and Bradley Hospital’s digital front door is Drupal. These are engagements where editorial governance, accessibility and multilingual delivery are requirements under audit, and Drupal is the open-source platform deep enough to meet them.

The certification is the formal end of a longer relationship. Pare & Co holds more than 400 organization credits on Drupal.org and maintains two dozen contributed projects. Shared Field Display Settings solves a problem every large Drupal build hits — the same field configured differently in twenty places — and it lives on Drupal.org, where any build can use it. Oomph Paragraphs did the same years earlier.

The community work is on the record too. Eleven years backing New England Drupal Camp at platinum level and helping organize it, for a volunteer-run camp that is still free to attend. A track lead on the Drupal CMS initiative, where the contact-form work landed in the distribution. First core contributions credited to people here by name.

The Drupal AI Initiative is the community’s coordinated program for building AI into the platform itself — funded delivery roles, two workstreams, 32 organizations and more than 50 contributors as of June 2026 — and Pare has joined it to help lead that work. For clients it means the intelligence we build lands in the platform they already run, maintained by the community that maintains the rest of what they depend on.
