Oomph, Inc. has acquired Adapt USA. Both firms now operate under a single name, Pare & Co.
The acquisition is one of two reasons we changed our name. As founder and CEO Christopher Murray put it in his letter on the change, bringing the two teams together meant neither of the old names covered what we now do.
Why Adapt
Three things made the case.
Contentful. Adapt’s Contentful partnership was a principal reason for the deal. It joins our existing platform partnerships and deepens the headless and composable side of the practice. See the Contentful partnership.
Growth. Adapt brought substantial depth on the growth side of the work — the acquisition, conversion and retention questions that the Growth practice is built around.
Enterprise technology and SaaS. Adapt arrived with established client relationships across enterprise tech and SaaS, a sector where the buying process and the measurement bar are both distinct.
Leadership
Adapt USA co-founder Doug Sisko becomes Managing Director of Pare’s Growth practice, where he owns the practice commercially and stands behind the engagements inside it. He joins founder and CEO Chris Murray on the firm’s leadership team.
About Adapt USA
Adapt USA was the US arm of Adapt Agency, a digital agency headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. The US business ran out of Portland, Maine — and that office is now a Pare office, alongside Providence and Boston.
What Changes for Clients
Nothing about existing work changes. Clients of either firm keep the same team, the same people on their account, and the same contracts, invoices, rates and phone numbers. Existing email addresses continue to work. No project moves, pauses or is rescoped.
About Pare
Pare is an AI-native digital consultancy, founded in 2007 as Oomph and rebuilt in 2026 for the AI age. The firm builds websites, platforms, and digital products — and the intelligence inside them — for the organizations people depend on most.
