Acquia has certified Oomph (now Pare & Co) as a Drupal Cloud Practice, its designation for partner agencies that have demonstrated delivery capability across Acquia’s Drupal products rather than familiarity with them.
What the certification requires
Three things: a core team of Acquia certified developers, substantial hands-on delivery history with Acquia Drupal Cloud products and a review of the firm conducted by Acquia’s own partner specialists.
The last of those is the part that cannot be studied for. It examines how engagements are actually run — how architecture decisions get made, how delivery is staffed, how the work holds up after launch.
Drupal Cloud is one of three practice certifications Acquia awards, alongside Marketing Cloud and DXP. Each covers a different part of the platform, and each is granted on a record of delivery rather than on training completed.
The relationship behind it
We have been an Acquia partner since 2012 and have built on Drupal since 2008. The certification formalizes a working relationship that predates it by a decade, across state government content operations, academic medical centers and hospital systems — the engagements where editorial governance and compliance have to hold at the same time, under audit, for years.
Acquia had already recognized the work earlier in 2022, when the State of Rhode Island platform, built with NIC RI, took an Engage Award.
