Fathers’ Uplift runs the country’s first mental health and substance abuse treatment facility built for fathers and families. The work is counseling, coaching and advocacy against the things that come between a father and his children — racism, trauma, addiction. They have served more than 13,000 fathers and family members, trained over 3,700 professionals in the method and report that 91.5% of the fathers who came through their services feel hopeful about their future.
The engagement was a custom electronic health record system, designed and built across three phases. Their existing platform had gaps, and the organization had been filling those gaps with a collection of external tools — the familiar position where the record system dictates the shape of care rather than following it. The replacement consolidates those tools into one.
An EHR is a Trust engagement whatever the size of the organization. Clinical records are regulated, and the people whose data sits inside this one are in treatment for the hardest things in their lives.
